Privacy policy
Who uses this application
alba-resident is a private application with one user, its owner. It is not available to the public.
What Google data it accesses
With the owner's consent, alba-resident requests read-only access to the owner's Google Calendar and Gmail. It reads calendar events and email messages. It never sends, deletes, labels or changes email, and never creates, edits or deletes calendar events.
How the data is used
The data is used only to prepare short summaries for the owner, such as a daily text message and a daily briefing, covering appointments, deadlines and messages that need attention. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to build profiles of anyone.
Where the data is kept
Data read from Google is stored on the owner's own computer. Access tokens are stored there in files readable only by the owner's account. Working copies of calendar and email data are overwritten on each run rather than accumulated.
Who else processes it
- Anthropic: excerpts of calendar and email data are sent to Anthropic's API so that its Claude model can compose the summaries. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent to its API is not used to train its models.
- Delivery services: the finished summaries are delivered to the owner by text message and email through third-party messaging services (Zapier and Google's Gmail).
No data is shared with anyone else, and no data is transferred for any purpose other than delivering these summaries to the owner.
Limited Use
alba-resident's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
The owner can revoke alba-resident's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the application's token files on the owner's computer also ends its access.
